Nordic Review of Typography (?)
Open Editorial Meeting
What is Nordic Review of Typography?
Nordic Review of Typography is a new journal on graphic design, typography, and the visual public. The idea grew out of Nordic Review of Architecture, which led us to ask: Is it possible to create a similar journal focused on typography?
How do we imagine the journal?
The journal is planned to be published once or twice a year. The goal is to create a professional forum and develop design criticism across the Nordic countries.
What will happen at the editorial meeting?
The goal for the evening is to explore the idea's potential, and to start developing a structure for the journal. To give us some framework for the discussion, we've invited architecture critic Anders Rubing (editor of Nordic Review of Architecture). The meeting will be led by the trans-Nordic working group: Kasper Pyndt (Denmark), Birna Geirfinnsdóttir (Iceland), Jonas Williamsson (Sweden), and Tiril Haug Johne and Martin Asbjørnsen (Norway).
Am I committing to anything by attending?
No. The meeting combines a seminar with an open idea session, providing a space to share and discuss ideas. It will be held in English and is free to attend.
Organized by Tiril Haug Johne and Martin Asbjørnsen, with financial support from the Nordic Culture Fund.
